iPhone off Ebay

If I buy a iphone off Ebay can I just insert my SIM card into it. The reason I'm asking is that I don't want to buy one from AT&T. I'm a AT&T customer, but I have a sweet package from when I was with cingular. They can't change it unless I agree to get a new phone from them. So if I buy it can I just stick my SIM card in it and be good to go?

Is it an AT&T sim or a Cingular. If your Cingular sim works on the AT&T network then you should be fine???

AT&T 3g sim card. I got a new sim card when my phone got jacked. I had insurance so they replaced my old phone and gave me a new cingular sim card.

I don't think you can take the back covering off the iphone to insert a new sim card? I may be mistaken.

You can take the sim out. There's a little pin hole on top of the phone, just push it in & a little tray with the sim will come out. Be careful about gettin the phone off of eBay.

you will be fine to use an att 3g sim card in the iPhone. done it myself.
