Micro managing

Does anyone else have this problem?? The guy I work with is in charge of the office. He's not a manager or a supervisor, he is a salesman just like me, but he has been there the longest... Here's my issue, he breathes down my neck all day long..Nagging, about "did you call so and so, did you do this, when are you gonna take care of that, etc.... Constantly double checking my work (In front of customers).... Pain in the ass!!!

What is the best way to deal with this fucker?? I'm on the verge of knocking him the fuck out!

if he isnt your just have a word with him, or just ignore him. if he has no authority over you just tell him to fuck off you know how to do your job.

He's up the owners ass...So, I'm kind of stuck..The owner is never here, so what ever happens with this ass hole and me goes straight to the owner...Guess who he's gonna side with??

that sucks mate, dont know what to say other than if it is that small of a place where people are that tight, i would look elsewhere for a job.. seems like a petty place to work.

i thought boss sounded more professional and "educated"

lilly that sucks!!! unfortunately in situations like this u either go under, get out or get up.

best way of showing this prick up, is being exceptionally good at your job without brown nosing. so that the boss notices and he doesnt take the credit. its always a bitch.

My MD is a micro manager. He's newly appointed so he has a lot riding on his shoulders, have to show results, etc. We thought that was the reason he meddled in everything. But a micro manager is a micro manager is a micro manager. Didn't help that I'm the only one who spoke up when stuff don't make sense while my colleagues are being too diplomatic about it.

And he loves playing devil's advocate.

There comes a point when confidence in your own abilities erode and self-doubt sets in because some fuckwit thinks he can do your job.

So I left.

ran into the same issue with my last boss. was stuck in the position i was in due to the two of us not being able to see eye to eye (basically just because he was a dick)

option 1- ride it out, karma is amazing. the aforementioned asshole of a boss ended up getting fired after i was transferred to another region. point being that it may have taken 4 years for the fuckstick to get his, but it happened, it just takes time. so my advice on this is if you like your job or it's your career, stick it out cocksmoker will get his.

option 2 - if you are not vested in this job, simply look for another one. there comes a time where you must realize if there is no future in what you are doing, you must cut all ties and simply walk way. the ability to recognize a bad investment and go another direction is a blessing sometimes.
