because for years between men bending over backwards to please women, and women fighting for equal rights, courts awarding women ridiculous alimony and or child support settlements... why wouldnt they expect the world?
the thing is, whether its race, gender, religion, sexual orientation.. the definition of equality some how got "redefined".. and parts of these groups now think they are entitled to not only the same right as as everyone, which of course is fair enough, but also tend to go way overboard when they believe their rights are violated and make more of a spectacle of themselves to make sure they stand out and get noticed more so than someone that jsut wants to be treated equal

Shiva, which county do you live in? I think the disjunction between a few of us can be reconciled by the fact that American women have stopped being women. they're vaguely feminine. they're very messy...every last one I've met...and few know how to cook more than hot dogs.

there is a balance here... sometimes that assumption bears some truth. mostly it doesnt. but i have noticed some girls, particularly here in lower NY and long island, that god help me, dont even know that there are floods destroying mid america, dont know what party obama is from, but yet, tool around in their channel sunglasses, prada bags, etc..... i.e. wrong priorities.
but you are right too. plenty of women are extremely career oriented. my ex fell into this grouping, so much so that it ruined our relationship. also, i give my sister so much respect. she is 25, teaching in a rough area of queens, and breaks her ass for everything she gets. not once since college has she ever needed help from my family other maybe a ride to the train station so she can head back into NYC.
