I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for meComment

Re: PS3 questions
It was discontinued but re-released for the MGS4 package and finally went on sale on June 12. I saw a couple of them last night. I almost bought the silver 40GB Jap version. Was very tempting as this one was region free.Comment

Re: PS3 questions
If I'd known that you were looking for one I would have posted the info. (that was floating around) about the deal that Wal*Mart ran and how Best Buy was matching it. Wal*Mart had where you could buy any B-D player, you get a $100 store gift card good for anything and then Sony had when you get their credit card and your first purchase is over $299, you got $100 rebate. So, potentially, you could have gotten the 80GB for $399 plus $100 for add-ons. Crazy.Comment

Re: PS3 questions
Sony has pulled the 2.40 firmware update from both its in-console update and website after some users reported that the firmware has bricked their system. SCEA PR director Patrick Seybold told Joystiq that Sony is "looking into it right now and will work with those customers directly to address any issues they may be experiencing." Has it bricked your system? Let us know in the comments below.

Re: PS3 questions
Today the Dual Shock 3 pad arrived and now it's charging. I hope most Future Games will support it and I think I have seen such an option in GTA IV already..but I will try it out later anyway after the pad is charged.
Did anybody else buy this Pad and has already made experiences with it in Games be it good or bad? From the first feeling it lies good in the hand because it is a bit heavier than the regular one. I am curious how long the battery will last after it was completely charged..I guess the Rumble option sucks up a lot of power.

Re: PS3 questions
I saw that release yesterday about the possible "bricking" that 2.40 has done with some units. I've got it installed and have no issues currently.
I have the DS3 and fully charged it last night. I prefer the vibrating function and feel better than that of the X360 controller BUT I am thinking of moving my DS3 innards into the X360 controller like what Ben Heck did.
As for backwards function, there are a lot of older games that have updates you can download so that the vibration feature will work on them.Comment

Re: PS3 questions
haven't had any issues with 2.4. I'm digging how the PS button now brings you to the whole menu rather than to the 4-option menu it had.Comment

Re: PS3 questions
Tom,
It came out, then lots of people reported their PS3s no longer working, no video on the screen or their hard drives died so Sony is checking into it and doing repairs at no charge for customers that have to send in their units. Talk about a snafu. Mine works so far...Comment
