I saw that, and I think it's hysterical -- but if anything, I'm a little pissed he's encouraging NASCAR fans to vote.

In all seriousness, it may seem a little odd, but I get why he's doing it. This may not garner a single vote for him ultimately and he knows this, but it sends a message to McCain that no stronghold is safe and that he's going to make him fight for every vote, which is a position that comes from having a massive financial advantage. Today, he's sponsoring a NASCAR car, tomorrow he's running ads in Arizona.

I don't see how this is any different than making an ad-buy in a heavily republican state, which he's doing elsewhere. Any votes he gets out of it are just gravy.
