How about those sony or panasonic "journalist" digital recorders? I saw few that could record wave and with good memory...but the thing is that it has jacks and no RCA,,,,donno, doesnt sound like pro-music device ....

Its not a "converter" but a simple adapter that turns your RCA into a 1/4".

You can also purchase a cable with 1/4" on one end and RCA's on the other

The sound quality would not be compromised.

1/4" cables are actually superior to RCA's. They are a balanced cable which cancels out unwanted interference.

I use a RCA to 1/4" cable to go from the Rec out on my mixer to my M-Box for recording demos at home.

^ changing tha RCA to 1/4 jack doesn't change the quality?? If not, then why spend so much money on the MT2 when u can simply get one of those "sony" or "panasonic" jounalist digital recorder..it much cheaper and same memory...

Coz that m-audio device is far cooler and you can never have enough electric gadgets !
