Just when we were finished telling you that the BlackBerry Thunder's haptic touch screen keyboard was the greatest thing evar, it turns out that things may be a bit of a mess over in RIM development land. According to one of Boy Genius' sources, the BlackBerry Thunder is lagging far behind on development time and is "in no way shape of form market-ready." And that awesome keyboard? Not so awesome. Reports are that it's annoying to type on and the screen ripples when the touchscreen is pressed. Meanwhile, UI response times are pretty bad, buttons don't click right, and RIM's new touch-and-drag method of selecting items isn't up to snuff. In short, says BGR's source, "Most of the people who have handled it thinks it's a joke." We haven't seen the thing ourselves lately, but if this report is true, it looks like you'll be waiting a while before you get your hands on a Thunder.

fkin awesome, it plays youtube, as a built in voice recorder, has word and powerpoint to go

depends on your use, if you dont intend to type a lot, the iPhone would be the better choice. but for me, I tend to type a lot and so need the keys. I was at the apple store and played with the iphone testing the ease of typing on a virtual keyboard and it sucked balls. couldnt type a simple sentence without making a mistake in nearly every word.

performance-wise the blackberry bold will be the fastest phone in the market when it is released.

yes i can tell you for a fact that the iphone keypad is a pain in the ass. even with spell correction i still type like shit and it is very annoying.

Anyone have any more info. on the Storm? I will finally be leaving AT&T for my work phone and will be switching over to Verizon Wireless. I'm fucking sick and tired of crappy Good Messaging services.

i have an 8830 so my os is 4.5.0.77. for your 8310 i think you'll find at least 4.5.0.77, maybe even the 4.5.0.81which is out somewhere.

i had to install/uninstall twice before i got it to work so if you do it, back up before and then also with the install.
