Love the old sky line. The new one is sexy too but i'm partial to the models above. If you get the chance to visit Japan you'll find that not many Japanese roll in these. They prefer the American SUVs and overall big ass vehicles on their tiny roads.

i got to drive a 890 HP at wheels, 1130+ at flywheel porshe two years ago. scary.

also, i had the pleasure of driving the 599GTB Fiorano last november. that car has scary tourque.

Have a 1997 Acura 3.2 TL (that I bought in 2000). Almost 167,000 Miles on the odometer, bought it used with 26,900 Miles on it (someone traded in their lease) the only things I changed in the car till date

- Headlights x Twice
- High Mount Tail Lamp x Twice
- 4 Sets of Tires x Twice
- 4 Sets of Break Pads x 3 Times
- Battery x Once
- Random connector in Ignition that wore out over time x 1

Add to that regular Oil changes (I've just moved to synthetic oil), 2 Tranny Oil Changes and running the car on regular gas, havent' spent on anything much else. I just love it to pieces.

Virtually in the same boat. Mine though is your generic 1998 Corolla Although the best part was that was the first year they got rid of the timing belts...which cost an arm and leg to replace (was I relieved when I found that out)

-Bought in 2001 @ just around 29000 (off of a lease)
-Now has around 167,000; I want to see this thing exceed 250K.
-Couple of fender-benders (self) accidents...you get to learn at that point what's sheet metal, what's plastic, and what's foam
-Replaced battery (original one) last year, brakes, 2 sets of tires, oil changes (do myself), other fluids as needed, regular gas fillups, couple of lamps, belts, the usual maintenance stuff.

And I get 30-32 MPG on a 12-gallonish tank.

Next car I want to have the programs in a laptop to hook up into the computer so I can tweak the settings.

And I want to eventually build and try this to see if it really works (author doubled his '99 Corolla mileage to 61/gallon ).

Now, that's the job I want. Imagine that kind of power in a "sleeper" against all those JDMs that think they've got the shizah.

BTW, I drive JDM and I realize it's limits....

that thing is silly fast.... btw the new maxima looks incredible in person. It was horrid in the shots but I've seen a ton of them in DC and I personally am growing fond of them.....esp how the rear of the car slopes down tot he trunk and the wrap around tail lights just complements the entire finish.

I didn't like the new maxima on paper, until my friend got one of the new ones, loaded. It's pretty sweet in person.
