kimbo isnt a fighter, never has been. he is a guy who took money to knock people out, nothing more. i doubt he will ever do anything good against a decent fighter.

wanna see a sick fighter>GSP or ortiz those guys can fight ya up, down, grecco, judo, whatever.

got hurt the morning of the fight... got a cut above his eye, needed 6 stiches

as far as money lost, i would assume all bets were off as the original fight didnt take place

i agree with sean here, kimbo isn't a good fighter. he can become one, but still has a lot a lot a lot of work to do, but again this is elite xc... so he will never be anything but mediocre. arehis 15 mins up?

kimbo, yeah.... not even close to a fighter. let me put it cut and dry

he was a poor man who was trying to do anything he could for his children. very very admirable. he took hundred dollars a person to see if they could knock him out, because he was the local tough guy. a ton of ghetto supertar tough guys fought him and often got knocked out. youtube made hima star. he started to get noticed by amateur circles. they invited him to train to learn how to stop knocking ppl out and to fight fighters. he is still learning. he has NO wrestling ability, NO ground game, NO defensive ability. people who know how to fight, beat him up. IMO< he is too old to learn how to handle the ground and defensive games, and honestly, i dont think he will ever gain the stamina to handle it.

Not like it matters now, but Elite XC fighter Seth Petruzelli talks about the promotion “hinting” to keep his fight against Kimbo Slice this past Saturday night standing rather than to try and take the street brawler to the ground. He ended up ending the fight standing in just 14 seconds. “The Silverback” indicated that he was paid “six figures” to take the fight against Slice, which is a nice payday for the former contestant on The Ultimate Fighter. The interview took place today on “The Monsters in the Morning” — a popular Orlando radio program in which Petruzelli is a regular guest to discuss mixed martial arts — on Real Radio 104.1. It’s a very interesting listen to say the least.

100% brawlers have no place in mma. they can only handle the first minute and then their stamina goes down the shitter.

When you put Kimbo up against guys who can't fight, aka backyard fighters, of course he's going to look good.

Put him up against some legit actual mma fighters, and you see how good he really is.

Damn I wish Ken would have fought him. Sure he's old and washed up, but in his day, he was the shit. A washed up Ken would have probably been a good match with Kimbo.
