            another brownie I work with said it was ok to drink, but I dont remember my dad drinking on diwali day so now he's got me confused (we're both punjabis i.e. our castes), if we're not supposed to drink, then not sure why they do it (i.e. from the cleansing perspective) but on most religious days, we try to limit the intake of alcohol and meats.
