me? i am one of the biggest hetero proponents of gay marriage you will ever meet. but i also ground myself in reality and respect the fact that 90% of the world is religious and hold the concept of marriage being a sacrament, so i say call it unions, give it every right of marriage, and call it a day. it will never pass if its up to the people. it simply wont. only judges have made it legal. in cali, with the san fran, san diego, LA, berkely and sacremento, it didnt pass. and the people in cali aer teh most easy going of all 48 continental.
frankly, my opinion is that it is a disgrace that anyone can claim persecution of freedoms or choice while being anti gay marriage.s

They voted against gay marriage here Florida. My personal feeling is that the two sides should compromise and call them civil unions. Marriage is sacred to many so just call it something different and treat it legally like a marriage. That way gay couples can get the same benefits and rights as married couples.
