Goin' to Goa

For a couple of weeks over Xmas and New Year. Defected has a stage at a festival called Sunburn on the 27th, so if by any chance anyone else is heading to that part of the world would be cool to hook up. Been to India before but never Goa so not sure whether to expect a natural paradise or a sprawling tourist trap - probably half way between.

Any recommendations on places to go/shit to do would be appreciated!

Man Goa is completely different...your in for a treat. Avoid all touristy shit and look for the illegal parties...you will have a blast. The last hippie standing thats Goa

just try to get to the parties around Anjuna and Bagha beach (esp Anjuna). You won't regret it.

Parties, yes, but going with a chick who isn't massively into edm (why I'm going with such a chick is, indeed a question in itself) so is there anything other than parties I should look out for? This may be the wrong place to ask such things, but you seem to be a relatively well-travelled, culturaly aware bunch of twats

Even though I've lived 21 years of my life in India, I get fucked everytime I go back. Last time, me and the shitter had a date for 2 days, it wasnt fun (at least for me)

no, its the food that will get you...even eating in '5 star' restaurants, every single person on our last trip there for work got sick over a one week period. and we were drinking only bottled water. its just cleanliness standards are not quite on par with the western world yet. unfortunate, cause i love love love indian food...but sometimes i associate it with some rather unpleasant experiences in dehli
