Do you own a Gun?? US citizens

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens

Poor argument. It's a law not a definition of freedom. I guess by legalizing murder and child porn you are more "free" too. Good luck with that.

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens

If you have a gun you are far more likely to be killed by one, and it is frequently your own.
Gun Homicides are considerably higher in households that have guns.

America is so far in front of the rest of the developed world in gun homicides it looks far more likely they are being used to commit murder rather than protect any one.

Personally I can't see how anyone in a country with those sort of statistics can defend gun ownership. It has a legitimate role in sports, but you are kidding yourself if you think they are a good defence. You are more likely to be supplying a criminal with a weapon to be used against you.

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens

I have a Fass 90 (5.6mm machine gun) in my bedroom, after doing the obligatory military service they give us no choice but to take our weapons home with us so we can use it in case of war. I live in Switzerland...
I believe owing a weapon in a modern civilized society is absolute bullshit. The righ to bear arms was conceived at the dawn of the american society which has evolved to become a completely different society.

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens

Fao all in this thread. A gun owner who is not educated about guns and/or gun safety will more than likely become one of the statistics that you are speaking of.

Agree?

That being said, any idiot can own a gun, or shoot one for that matter.

If you aren't a responsible gun owner, someone is going to get hurt.

Most people, when they get a gun, think that it is alright to be the tough guy and flaunt that they have one. That is when they get killed by someone else who thinks that they have to defend themselves due to the fact that you just waived a gun at them.

If you own a gun, and do not have a concealed weapons permit, that gun should be locked in a safe in your house and kept there.

If you do have a concealed weapons permit, there is a good chance that you have taken some of the knowledge from the concealed weapons course, and are a safer gun owner.

Guns do not kill people, stupid people with guns kill people.

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens

The craziest incident that I think about on occasion is the shootings that took place out of the trunk of that guy's car in Virginia Beach in 2003...people wouldn't leave their homes and were afraid to get gas, that was just wild.

yeah i remember this. it was to back guys and the had a hole in the boot or something. I was wondering what happend to them?

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens

Well, when it comes down to it, I have the right to protect my family, and you bet your ass that I will do all it takes to protect them and myself.

When some fuck face breaks into my house threatening to kill me and my family, am I suppose to let him do so? Fuck that.

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens

some of you on here put way to much faith into your civil servants. Why some of you think that the police should be the only ones with guns is absurd.

Defense of the Constitution against enemies "foreign and domestic"

I'm pretty sure they put that in there for a reason.

Unless some of you feel you are smarter then the founders??
