What do you do when you try to find an old friend with whom you lost contact over the years? Especially when it is a tycoon that always stays below the radars?

Well I have been trying to locate this old friend of mine but unsuccessfully, I know this person lives in the US (California - Beverly Hills), but I am unable to get to him coz he is unlisted on the phone directory and he is not an internet user.

How could I find him, or get his coordinates?

you might try this site, if you haven't already:

Not perfect, but it does tend to be pretty comprehensive. I find it tends to include references other sites don't, although it includes current and prior addresses, so you may have to do some additional digging to ID the current one.

If you really get into a bind, I've got a guy I use that can track down just about anyone for around $100. Shoot me a PM if you get desperate enough to cough up a Franklin.

there are people search web sites, but most of them I have seen charge you for the info.. you could also search a public records website in the city/state you last knew he lived

Did you go to school with this person? Sometimes you can contact your old school and they have directories of their Alumni and where they are working now, etc. and contact through there.

If you know what city he lives you could ask a real estate agent friend of yours to do a property ownership search (assuming he owns a piece of property) Then contact him by letter that is one option...

^^True. Keep in mind that property searches are free (At least in the state of Florida). All you have to know, is the county that he or she lives in. That will give you direction as to which property appraiser website to visit to begin your search.

I have to do this all day long, being in insurance sales.

I'm licensed in California, but the website I use is via a title company and you can search anywhere in the U.S. and its only for clients of the title company...
