No, not at all! I am not in a relationship right now either and I know my life is far from meaningless.
I think what Shiva is saying is somewhat true, that without love, life is meaningless, but I don't agree it has to be love of a significant other. I think it means knowing how to love, and having people in your life that you love and love you (family, friends, pet, etc).sigpic

Yes...
Friends, pets can bring you a type of "love" if we wana call it that way....which I actually define as being a sort of affection rather than love.
The LOVE I mean is that universal feeling a human can have towards another, just like "beauty" that is another universality. I am talking about the love of a couple and everything that comes with it. Nowadays it doesn't really matter whether it is a heterosexual or homosexual relationship as long as the common denominator is LOVE (not to be confused with affection).
Well, LOVE is a special subject, many people might have gotten the chance to experience TRUE love while others were not/are not that lucky (yet). Love is not only the most important universality of all, but it is also related to many other factors such as maturity, experience etc etc...so I am not gona go into this, but to make a loong story short, here is how I put it, in a very very simple analogy:
Life without LOVE is like..................eating french fries without salt or ketchup
