    while this is tragic, all those worrying about their flights should calm down. driving to the airport is still far FAR more dangerous than hoping on a plane. the list of activities where you have a greater chance of dying than if you're a passanger on a commercial airline is staggering. they really are very safe, despite recent events...the people who work for them care a great deal...they know what happenes if someone screws up.

            thats sad...many people are afraid of flying nowadays....imean if you watch on the news about so many plane crashes here and there ofcourse its goin to affect you....i was never afraid of flying before and now i developed a fear about it and thats because i hear about crashes all the time.The statistics say its 1 in 11 million to be involved in aircraft accident but im still anxious when im flying...

                            I fly all the time for work, it's kind of sickening how even the hardest of turbulance does not phase me anymore.

                                The crash site is a 10 minute drive from my house; that plane could have hit any house around here. 2 of the 3 people from the building that got hit made it out alive, can't imagine what that experience must have been like.

                                        not to rub anything in, but flying really is super safe. really enjoyable imo. just pop some vicodin or whatever beforehand, it seems to help a lot of ppl out with flying. just gotta 'dive in' and conquer the fears.

                                                I'm flying to Florida in August and I'm bricking it. I never had a problem with flying before, and then all of a sudden I just started to get nervous. I dont have to take medication or even drink a few beers, but I can't relax whilst in the air, and there is no way I'd be able to fall asleep. God knows how I'd cope on a flight to Australia!
