It's like if I said that it will rain tomorrow because I saw a cloud in the sky this afternoon. If it does actually rain tomorrow, it will reflect much more on luck than on the quality of my weather forecasting abilities.

Being well aware of what you are trying to point out with this statement it strikes me as needing some modification. And not to miss out on all the fun you guys seem to be having.

Since its raining today RM is predicting rain tomorrow.

Because it actually is quite bad right now, its only natural for people to predict more bad to come.

everybody should be buying gold... the paper currency will fail in the new year.. I'm buying gold and a lot of it.

It was aimed primarily at the conclusion that was formed based on what is happening to GM.

But really it's a somewhat of a nitpicky point and I plan to drop it now.

I've been in gold for a good while now. I do agree with runningman that the dollar seems set to drop a lot in the future.
