Seems like a pain in the arse to me. Every time you come out of a thread you have to reset the set post. the tracklist form has become unreadable and now we have this
For some reason whenever I come out of a thread through the promos tab I have to reset it to last post every time. Most forums on the net are set using the last post. It just looks like no one has posted anything for 2 days.
I would add that it does now seem like there's a ton of new and fresh music to download and it seems like I'm not missing out on sets that don't get a lot of initial responses, and that's great.
Whats even worse is you have one section running on one default and another running on a different one.
Why is that worse or bad? For those members who refresh the board once every hour, I can see how it might seem like things are stale because of the change. We have an average of 10-15 new threads per day in P&R, so any new user who visits once every few days will see a full page of fresh new content each time.
I hear your complaints here and I'm trying to think of alternatives to make it easier on everyone while accomplishing the same thing. I'm still convinced that this is a good thing that might just take some old dogs some getting used to it
Last Post icon to Last Thread Started so anyone who wanted to sort the newer posts could of done it like that. Some forums have an Icon that changes colour to let you know where the last post was when you left the forum previously.
I agree but the version of vBulletin that we're running doesn't support that. I have been working for a few months to try to get this place upgraded to vBulletin 4.0, which has options to do it. Or maybe there will be enough major changes in that release to distract you from these little things

Every setup has its pros and cons. I personally find the last post default option more usable as i read the board often and i am also interested in comments. On the other hand, some posts can go by unnoticed, at least until someone posts a comment (which happens almost always with more wanted artists).
You come the the promos page and the place looks like a ghost town. Most of the threads have no replies and very few views. It doesn't make the place look very vibrant. I bet plenty of people haven't even noticed the the default.
