None of those are as simple as itunes method

lol, right, open the file in audacity, highlight the portion you want to cut out.. right click copy and paste into a new file..it actually IS easier than in iTunes

if you have a mac, quicktime can easily trim an audio file and export. Also, as mentioned above, audacity is free and easy to use.

I use either of those or just import into Logic

Second that. People spend so much money on weddings a few bucks for decent music sounds like a good idea.

Btw if you have itunes , assuming it works the same way on a pc. It's actually quite easy to take bits from a mix without actually splitting it.

get info, options, set start and finish times , go to advanced in the toolbar, create mp3. And it will create a file in whatever your import bitrate is.
