Haven't seen JVM for like 2 years......but looking forward to him and Luke Fair tagteaming it up in Chicago next weekend!

I've heard some truely ordinary recorded sets from JvM, but unfortunately due to The Great Hard Drive Crash of 2004 I don't have them to reference against. I like his sound for sure... just some of the mixing leaves a lot to be desired.

As for 'retiring' ...I think part of this would come down to a financial issue as well. It's not "all about the music" as much as we might like to think it is. DJing is what these guys are making the most money off - and nobody likes a pay cut, even if you can still live comfortably on the lower amount.

as our beloved djs climb up in age (digweed, sasha, and others), i keep thinking when they will call it quits. afterall, they are in their mid-30s... at some point, wouldn't they decide to settle down? get married? have a family? if that happens, man, what would happen to us digweed nerds? where would we get our music?

mid-30s ? Guys are in their prime!!

And I think we'll be like our parents...listening to 'our' "oldies" talking shit like, "You kids these days dont know what real music is!!"

i hope i can evolve with music, but if not, im ok just here, btw msanchez is right, they are at the right age, the only way they could stop spinning is dying, and i dont think someting could happen to them, remember they are gods.
