what do you think the fans reactions are gonna be next seaon when bonds breaks ruth's record. if he starts out slow of gets hurt, he may very well end up doing it in NY in june. that would be really bad. i could see him getting barraged by items from the stands as he rounds 3rd base. now we have aaron saying its wrong that bonds is doing it. disgraceful. i would compare it to finding out michael schumacher and barrichello have been using illegal cars for the past 2 years in thier dominance

1. should he be banned if proven that he lied?

2. where do his records get held? asterick? thrown out?

3. will they put him in the hall of fame?

4. do you think the owners should lock out players until they have a real drug policy?

5. will the congress ahve to get involved?

6. suspensions? bonds? giambi? sheff? sheff is the only one who owned up to it off the bat and called out bonds from the beginning.....

1. yes - they did it to pete rose for far less serious incidents
2. tough to say... he was good before he used roids, but he tainted the game, so i say fuck him.
3. same answer as #2 - toss him - he lied
4. no way. baseball doesn't need something like that. they'll lose way too much money and screw the people that don't use roids. plus it took a long time for baseball to recover from the strike. i think even with all the steroid talk, baseball is in a good/profitable setting.
5. yes. mr. mccain already said he can easily get bush to sign a bill passing such a law regarding sports and drug use
6. they all deserve suspensions. sheffield owned up to it but still did it.

the real interesting thing is going to be tomorrow when mike and the mad dog (WFAN in NY, YES network 1-6 on TV) have john smoltz on thier show. these guys are known for being really objective in their views. and they plan on grilling smoltz on the issue. he has been only one of a handfull of guys outspoken on bonds.
