Messi was the best player on Argentina... We all are still proud of him and his skills... Youre right, maybe in 2014..... Dont forget he is nearly 23 years old, a few less than Maradona in Spain 82 WC.. You know what happened with Diego four years later in Mexico 86....He has all the time in the world, and at least 2 more WC, to prove is he one of the greatest and IMO, he already is...

he is a great player and yes the best player on Argentina, though that's not saying a lot after today's performance. I'm not and never have said anything to the contrary.. I just get sick and tired of the media hyping up these young players to unrealistic expectations that's all.. potential means nothing if you don't live up to it.. he has a lot of football left of course, as do a lot of other potential "worlds greatest"
but so far on two of the biggest stages (champions league and world cup) he's fallen a bit short.. he is a lot of fun to watch

With Villa on the pitch, most certainly, hopefully Del Bosque sits Torres who has been ridiculously un-Torres-like this tournament, and is looking far from fit, and replaces him with Fabregas in the starting XI

Spain v Germany will be an epic battle I think
Holland v Uruguay will be a slug fest imo

I really don't think any true England football fans would seek revenge on Germany, they were clearly better. 4 goals against 3 international sides is an amazing feat on this level..I'm rooting for Germany against Spain.. hoping for a German v Holland final, in which I'd like to see the Dutch win, but either way should be a great match

The problem with English fans is the expect so much but give nothing in return. They have a cool to be lazy attitude but expect determination to get the task completed attitude from the football team. Patriotism does nothing but teach people how to hate people they have never met and take pride in accomplishments they had no part of. Its like that 2 World Wars & 1 World Cup shite they like to spout out. Clearly fucking morons. You only have to go to Germany to realise we won nothing. I remember when I was working for John Burton Race we went to the Gastronomic Olympics in Spain, he came joint first with France, but we didn’t win because he was English we won because he was himself determined, ambitious and a fucking genius. Nothing to do with some intrinsic character traits that he never had and certainly nothing to do with being English. If he followed the English path he would be flipping burgers at Burger King.
