I am behind a firewall so it is hard to get many search results with WinMX is it possible to forwards ports (like with Soulseek) so that i will get more connections/results on WinMX ?

Damn, I had no idea people still used WinMX. Don't know the answer to your question as it's been years since I've used it..well before I had a router.A good shower head and my right hand - the two best lovers that I ever had. -
I don't use WinMX so I can't verify that this works... but it might.

you will need to know the port # to map. This can be found by going into the WinMX connection settings, and clicking the "Network / Proxy Settings" button (figure 1). The port # you need to map will appear below where it says "Incoming Connections" (figure 2).

You should download more servers OpenNap I believe they're called.....That brings up more results...not to sure where to get them off the top of my head..but try winmx's url..or search for opennap server (google ect.)

I think i recall cleaning a pc out from spyware and then after a reboot when winmx started it came back.Comment

the only reason I use winmx is to find mainstream stuff...when it comes to any kind of electronic music, you can find some but there's usually something like 80 users in queue....Glenn Okada (www.glennokada.com)
