The president "thinks it's great that she's pursuing what she wants to do. Jenna will live in Washington and she will teach at a public school," McClellan told reporters.
McClellan declined to confirm where Jenna -- whose hard-partying ways have raised eyebrows and attracted the attention of gossip columnists -- would teach, citing "the privacy of the schoolchildren."
The Washington Post reported Wednesday that she had applied to teach at a Washington public school that serves low-income children.
