We inadvertently helped the Russians by draining Hitler's resources having to fight a war on two fronts with the Americans coming from the west and the Russians from the east. There is no doubt the Russians really had more to do with defeating Hitler than anyone else involved in WW2, with their harsh winters and nearly endless supply of hard nosed dug in soldiers who would have been killed by Stalin if they didn't fight Hitler. Stalin killed a LOT of his own men. Lol, what a dumbass. Russia lost something like 25 million soldiers to the Germans, that's ridiculous, and Hitler still couldn't advance (again, 1. because of drained resources thanks to the US invasion and 2. Russian winter.) Americans were also providing war supplies ( later in the war built by American women no less) to Russia for the majority of the war, even before we entered the war on D-Day, so we did help Russia. There are a lot of ignorant people who will say dumb shit like this: "If America hadn't entered the war, yall'd be speakin GERMAN!"... which is bullshit. England would have been speaking German, but Hitler wasn't taking Russia. Let's not gather around and give a warm handjobs to the Russians though for their contribution to WW2. Russia was forced to fight. Russia, always has, and always will, look one for one thing- Russia. They didn't give a shit who Hitler gassed, the Americans did. "Helping the Russians" wasn't the reason we invaded, but to say the Russians didn't benefit from the US in WW2 is just being historically ignorant, or you're just trying to hate on the states- which the latter we get a lot of these days because of the last 10 years of some questionable imperialistic nonsense, but that's not a reason to ignore the history books for some of the good things we've done.

So 20 minutes in and we are told about Iran exporting its ideology's to foreign country's. Sort of like exporting democracy around the world, only we get upset when these country's elect someone we disagree with and try to overthrow them.

Roosevelt gave Russia a 100 million dollar interest free loan for war materials in '41. Britian and the allies (including Canada, thanks RM) were also supplying materials through Russia's north ports before the US invasion.

I'm aware of the non-aggression pact they had to divide poland, which is why Stalin shit his drawers when Hitler pissed on that piece of paper and attacked Russia in the summer of 41. Russia was forced to defend from that point on, hence "forced to fight". Hitler had no intention of honoring any non-aggression treaty for any length of time. That "friendship treaty" didn't even last a year bro. Once he figured out his air force wasn't good enough to take England easily, he invaded Russia to the East, his biggest mistake ever and ultimately one of the main reasons Germany was eventually defeated.

D-Day was postponed three times because of weather. This was the largest amphibious assault ever in the history of man kind, martian kind, the universe, including uranus. Conditions had to be perfect for the assault to be successful. Even with perfect conditions, D-Day was nearly a failure.
