We're gonna use it as a vacation house and as a rental. Although I wouldn't mind living in it in the future.

Private property in national parks is rare, but this land holding has existed since long before the park did, so it was just incorporated into the park near the turn of last century. My grandfather bought some land here for a few hundred bucks 50 years ago.

I'll post picture updates when I get em.

We poured lots of concrete for the foundation and some walls the other day. It was a big step.

What's the closest airport? Can you fish there? When will it start to snow? How far are you from the nearest grocery store?

yosemite valley is such an astonishing region. i'd love to visit that place someday, especially for climbing the big walls

Yeah it's a big destination for climbers from all around the world.

No I can't see the north face of Half Dome from my property... I was just showing those pics I took awhile back for people who haven't seen the valley. It's one of the most amazing places on the face of the planet.

Thanks for the tile offer, but we're doing all concrete floors

Once we're done (in the spring maybe), I'm gonna set a date for next summer to have a house warming party. I'll post up again once that time comes around.

We're gonna be pouring the concrete floors maybe next week, then we're gonna actually start framing the thing... at least the hard work is done. It's been tough but fun.

That's pretty awesome. I'd be interested in renting it out for a week or weekend once it's done and obviously if you are. It looks like a great place to have a nice relaxing vacation!
