Ice storm

Weather forecast calling for 80% ice storm tonight/tomorrow... it's already storming/freezing, so they're right so far. Then they're calling for 90% snowstorm tomorrow/next day, and nowhere during any of this are they calling for any temperature over 32?.

News stations expect power to go by the end of tomorrow, if not sooner. my company never closes for weather, either... when power goes out they constantly charge laptop batteries off of a generator so we can replace dead laptop batteries with fresh ones.

it snowed twice before christmas,and on jan 1st it must have been 70 degrees, the nights are cold, but the mid days are very nice, we used to have bad winters, but there a hit or miss, you gotta move to a coast

it was 70 degrees here on NYE! now 4 days later we're having an icestorm followed by a snowstorm that the media keep insisting will take powerlines out, and the low tonight will be tomorrow's high. Insane. news said 26 degree high tomorrow, 17 day after... i can't imagine what the lows will be, with the 20 MPH windchill

all the trees outside are bowing with ice. we had a bad ice storm 3 years ago that took the power out of the city for a week, and it all started the same way it's going now... everywhere you looked, you could see bright flashes of light from random power transformers blowing at the top of the poles. And that one wasn't predicted.

I have a baaad feeling this one's going to fucking suck.

7:00AM Wednesday morning... 60k homes out of power, and trees falling on people's houses. Woke at 4:30 this morning to sirens going off like crazy, and a dream that my dad was married to an ugly, rotting grilled cheese sandwich.

The morning isn't starting off on a good start.
