Digweed In Toronto 6/11 - Review

Had a great time at this, Digweed played a fantastic set! Started off a bit slow but then the third track really got things going. The pace again slowed near the end of the first hour but picked right back up; second hour I thought was the most intense of the night, crushing pace.

Played the new Christian Smith remix of Underworld's Dark Train, Robotman's Do The Doo, a monster Max Cooper track and a new mix of Dubfire's unreleased Spacebird rendition.

EDIT: Max Cooper track I'm referring is actually Pig & Dan - Tears of a Clown (Max Cooper Remix)

Not too many ids at all but a very interesting set, really hard grooving tracks with smooth mixing, trademark Digweed.

My vids are not that great and same for the pictures, but at least gives some idea of what the night was like. Enjoy guys.

Intresting to see what he's playing these days vs what he used to play. That's to be expected - I couldn't imagine playing the same fixed sound for almost 2 decades. His sound now sounds lighter no doubt. I saw him at the Vagabond and he started off with some of the lighter deep groovy house - for a nice build and then went into some of the deeper stuff. Nice videos.

Well, a little late, but I had a fantastic time. For a change the crowd was really good and not the shovey pushy tripping out group. Loved Diggers set and danced the whole time. Got to by pass the lineup "cause of the tickets I won, so that was great. My only complaint is the 3 1/2 hours flew by and felt like 5 minutes. Seriously....it was over and I wasn't ready for it to be over. The pics I took are total crap so thanks to Ace for the great vids!
