MS is still in its prime imho. I've been here since 2005 (although i was just browsing for a while before i finally logged in).

I think the problem is that the main contributors (people I would say come here about once a week or more) have changed slightly, so you get a different dynamic. People have grown older and moved on or have more important things to do, some have moved on to higher planes. People get married and end up being more focused on their families.

I wish new members would participate on the forums instead of simply come here to acquire new mixes and nothing more. I wonder if there's a way to draw more people onto GYY.

my favorite ms period was like 2002-2004 before all the free filehosters got popular and the ms specials were my big source of tunage. i loved new music tuesday here.

This is a great community..good vibe overall. I've learned a lot about music here...its an incredible source of information! So thanks to all the regular posters, and everyone else who contributes.

I really like the movies/TV section as well ..

There was also a "what are you reading" thread somewhere, which I can't seem to find, which was very nice as well.

Can't really say I'm an old timer, but have really enjoyed going through, sourcing, ripping and supporting [ms]. Just miss the Politics though, not as many arguments as before (The Solely Departed RM/Chunky).
