the thing is, SC is used by just about everyone, so it's got that going for them. but gone are the days were you can easily see what certain people you are following are "liking." That is what really made SC so brilliant. It's enabled people to see what other who had similar tastes were "favoriting." It was beautiful. I was discovering new music every day, and learning about new artists all the time. Granted it was a major time vampire, but I loved it. Then they went and f*cked it all up.

On Thursday of this week, we’ll be shutting down the option to go back to the Classic view of SoundCloud. We appreciate that this change is one that some of you would rather we not make, but to enable us to focus our energies on creating a more unified SoundCloud experience, it’s a necessary step.
There are an incredible number of complex engineering issues involved in running two SoundClouds at a global scale. As we’ve grown, the difficulties of keeping both sites stable and communicating with each other have also grown. With this transition, we are choosing to build for the future in a newer, more stable code base over maintaining aging code.
More than a year ago, we launched Next SoundCloud. At this point, many of the features from Classic SoundCloud have been moved over or relaunched, including Upload, Messages, and Stats. We are committed to improving existing features and are constantly developing new ways for people to discover music and audio and to connect artists with their audience.
Our dedication to the SoundCloud community remains our core value, right where it’s been since we launched back in 2008. We can’t emphasize enough how grateful we are for your passion and dedication as members of the SoundCloud community. You’ve been an integral part of making SoundCloud what it is today and you inspire us. We’re looking forward to everything that comes next.

I doubt it will do any good - but here's a Soundcloud petition - I just signed it.

The other thing I don't understand about Soundcloud, there's no easy way to access all of your favorite tracks. For example, you can click on "artists" that you follow and there's a really good layout to easy see them all. But if you want to see mixes that you favorited years ago, you have to click the down arrow for an hour, it's ridiculous.

Mixcloud doesn't do downloads which kills it for me. But soundcloud is becoming total crap , they have sold out big time. !! It barely works for me anymore . I put in a complaint yesterday and didn't even get an acknowledgement email
This may have something to do with it.

Mixcloud, idk... just not as convenient or something, but SC gets all bogged down/slow sometimes, which is annoying. For now, SC is still main.
I'm open to new avenues.

I don't want to pay an outrageous cell phone bill every month because of these data-eating apps. I try to download everything I can from my laptop and put it on my ipod/iphone... so to didi's point, soundcloud has a clear advantage being able to download some sets. although I've been seeing this feature less and less recently.
Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?Comment
