Google Play Music?
Anyone using it and want to share playlist or single tracks? I've been trying to move all my music to the cloud, and google music works seemless across all my various devices, vehicles, computers, etc. The only downside is having to search for all the tracks a find elsewhere manually. Thus maybe sharing would help?

Re: Google Play Music?
You can either stream or store music on the phone, as much as you have space for or you can set a limit that it will fill up to that point.

Re: Google Play Music?
It's my main music player as I have uploaded about 70-80GB worth of my music catalog. The share link above just logs me out of my account, not sure what is going on there.
The only downside to google play music is its limitation of single file sizes. I have found that sets that are 3 hours or longer wont upload so I have to break them down into smaller sizes.
Otherwise having access to all of my music both via streaming or downloading tracks or playlists locally is super convenient and free.Comment

Re: Google Play Music?
i personally do not care to carry around my phone AND an ipod. and this way i still have access to all of my music without having to download 80+ gigs of files on my phone.
and let's not mention the fact that you can break and/or lose your ipod at any time.
in fact, thats what I used to do and my ipod was stolen. no thanks.

I hate to point out the obvious but you are far more likely to break or have your phone stoleni personally do not care to carry around my phone AND an ipod. and this way i still have access to all of my music without having to download 80+ gigs of files on my phone.

I had one the first iPods and I have never broken one. I still have my first iPod , it just doesn't talk to my computer anymore. I do call it my old school iPod.
If I had to choose between a phone to carry and an iPod it would always be the ipod. Although I usually do have my phone.
It isn't hard to load up to 140 Gb on my ipod . I choose the quality of the music I play and I use good headphones. Quality is always paramount with me. Quality is never old school
And I get to play the music I choose that I know I love all the time !!

Re: Google Play Music?
iPods work like that as well
Why would I want them all to sync?? I don't want my music on my phone or my tablet. As I said quality is paramount
I have all the gadgets, I just use them in the way that works best for me. Not the way Apple/ Google etc tell me.

Re: Google Play Music?
so you choose to carry 2 devices. What I'm trying to say is you can have access to all you music and 1 less device. you dont even have to load music on your phone to do this.
I'd say the only arguement to carry an ipod is over file format, which i understand, though i dont know much about the format as far as quality is concerned.
this is probably my biggest complaint about google play, i think they transcode everything into 256 or 320 mps i think no matter if it was a flac file or not. not sure if they even take flac.Comment
