I think it's a great idea and will definitely get more people interested in the genre. Thoughts?I am no cyberwhore...

Re: A Great Idea
BT, Dirty Vegas and others have already done lots of ads.
the CSI Vegas producer uses Sasha, Radiohead, etc...
don't know what impact it would really have.. it would be interesting to see.
but honestly in some form or another you hear A LOT of EDM type music in adverts and background music for tv shows and what not.Comment

I think its a great idea...
until they start overplaying commercials and making people sick of an artists songs.
...kinda like the radio....
hopefully artists and their labels will have enuf common sense not to whore out their 'good stuff'.

Re: A Great Idea
It sounds like a good opportunity for some of these lables to make extra cash. But by doing this I think it is going to commercialize dance music and ruin a lot of the mistic that surrounds it. Common do really want to hear say expander on a comemrical like twenty times a day. Just look at how radio keeps playing the same songs over and over again. I really hope dance music never becomes like that.Common Sense is not Common at all.Comment

Re: A Great Idea
if one good track ruined by overplay in an advert/film can fund a lesser known artist to record music for 2 years , and stop it just being a hobby for him then why is it not a good idea ? not all producers of tracks have all the equipment or enough time outside work to commit themselves to creating music properly . if selling one big track gets us 5 more quality tracks then it can only be goodComment

Re: A Great Idea
to me. it's all about keeping it real. if tracks gets played in clubs for a few months and are sold for adverts, cool beans. but make a track for an advert and have it played in clubs. lame.
i am all about the public being second. and fans being first.dead, yet alive.Comment
