My cousins a lucky boy

Last weekend at his home in the good ol USA my cousin was using a hydraulic auger 10" diameter, drilling foundation holes in his backyard for a sun room when his pant leg got caught in the auger.

It tore the muscle loose from the bone on his upper right leg a 12"
gash down to the bone. He is doing okay now and is able to walk on the leg which is a miracle in its self, the doctors feel he will recover back pretty well to normal but will have one hell of a scar. He is in good spirits and thank full he still has his leg, (it did not break any bones) plus did not tear through any main arteries, somebody was really looking out for him.

Shit man, glad he is ok.
To many people dont pay attention to there clothes being baggy/ close to rotateing machinery whilst operating them. Easily overlooked i suppose.

my friend was in a horrible boating accident 2 years ago... he was in the water behind a boat and our friend didn't see him, cranked up the prop and brian's leg got sucked into the prop. sounds like the same exact kind of gash your cousin had, to the bone, flesh just split wide open. brian was life-flighted to the hospital and the doctors said the blade from the prop came within a centimeter of tearing a main artery in the leg/groin. he recovered and they were able to save his leg without amputating it, but his leg looks pretty gross now and he says it hurts all the time.

your cousin is VERY lucky. i am glad to hear he'll be ok, but i guarantee you he'll never fully recover.
