tomorrow night kid koala is playing at preservation hall with members of the preservation hall band. for those of you not familar with new orleans or preservation hall this should be a very interesting show! for anyone visiting new orleans, it's a must to go there and see the preservation hall band, sitting on benches or the floor of a 250+ yr old building in the midst of the french quarter and listening to quintessential new orleans jazz.

i'll be honest, while i appreciate turntablism and some hip hop, i've never really been into it. i've never heard kid koala, but knowing that's his style infused with jazz PLUS the preservation hall band has got me very excited.

don't go expecting house music. it'll be chilled, fun, and with a very good vibe to the crowd. the concept is how you can fuse different elements into something new. this might give you some idears....

kid koala is hysterical - i would defo go see him in pres hall - great venue.
