Just got back from Digger's set and I am totally speechless in regards of how good it was .. he was suppose to play from 11 till 3am as per stated on his contract and i got there half past 10 hoping that he would start earlier but what I found was an empty club with the resident opening ... Diggers entered the booth at 11 sharp but the club was still pretty much empty so he just sat back and chilled and took over ard 11.30 and from then on it was total madness
he started strong and brought on a taste of vortex with his first 3 tracks and it was as good and if not better than his last hour of his Bangkok set when i last saw him back in March. finished his set ard 4am with the crowd yearning for more and i am sure that he would have played more if he wasn't down with sickness
definitely the best diggers night I had ever been to and definitely the top 3 sets from him for me besides the set from Yellow in 2001 that Simonr brought up and the one from Beirut.
i think personally the night was even more special was that even though it was a big club and it would definitely be packed to the brim on a friday or saturday night, the crowd earlier was kinda intimate .. not packed but from the faces i could see that everyone was just there for diggers and his music
after i set i spoke to him for awhile and i asked him about the last 4 hours of the set from Yellow and he said that its something that he keeps for himself but who knows if we start emailing him about it again he might just put it up .. do start emailing him for the set at zouk on 9th Nov especially the first 2 hours
