Heading to Madrid in June for a stag do, which I am organising.
We are staying in the centre of town, but I was wondering if anybody had any ideas on decent places to go? Not just bars, but stuff to do in the daytime?
I am planning on a tour of the Bernabeu, and we are really hoping that there will be some open air parks to watch the football in (there were in Hamburg during Euro 200
Any tips or ideas greatly appreciated!

Prado museum is a must if youre in madrid, its the biggest in spain and its famous for their royal collections, large collection of italitan art, you will see garden of lust by bosch - amazing, countles paintings by rubens, naked maya by goya and a lot more, but take your time for this one coz its huge
(another tip take a warm jacket with you coz their air conditioning is set to 16'C and after awhile you get really cold )
it can be very hot in madrid but the air is really dry so its quite comfortable even if it gets to 40'C or over

Music is essential for the expression of non material ideals and energies. Music colors our surroundings with emanations from the highest vibrational fields. It allows us to escape all limitations in our thinking and very existence.
The art museums are amazing. The Prado obviously but also check out the Reina Sofia and the Thyssen-Bornemisza for some of the best art of the last 4 or 5 centuries or so.
Buen Retiro park is a nice place to while away a few hours. Plenty of cool squares and momuments to check out too. Plaza Mayor is the pick of the bunch.
We stayed in Puerta del Sol, it walking distance to the Plaza Mayor. It's close to everything actually.. The Prado and Reina Sofia museums are a must. I loved Madrid, drank sangria all day, and all the food I ate was excellent. I even found an Argentine place that was the best I've eveer had. PM me if you want more details. I'd be happy to help.
I have always wanted to go to Madrid...hopefully one day!
