    Dix ans après leur première apparition à MUTEK, nous nous remémorons avec joie cette performance du duo Matmos (New York). Pour l’édition de 2001, ils avaient installé une véritable salle d’opération pour mettre en scène leur projet « A Chance to Cut is a Chance to Cure ». Avec leurs échantillons sonores extraits de manoeuvres médicales telles que les liposuccions, chirurgies esthétiques, tests audio et autres sons d'os coupés à la scie, Matmos réussissait le tour de force de ravir les festivaliers malgré la relative noiceur du sujet.
