This Sucks!

My Agency that I've been represented by for the past 12 years locked its doors today. No warning at all except I've been suspecting something fishy was going on from the fact that the accounting department was giving us the run around about our cheques. Thankfully some of my clients have agreed to pay for the remainder of my invoices directly to me minus the agency fee but I'm sol for a couple grand.
I've already got an interview lined up with another agency on Thrusday so wish me luck. I'm sure everybody from our roster is calling them right now.

Thanks guys. Will let you know how Thursday goes. It's looking pretty good as a top makeup artist friend that I've assisted for years is represented by the agency I'm meeting with. He's talked to them about me and he got positive feedback.

Actually, I was represented by the former agency, The Artist Group Limited. They represented people who do Makeup and Hair, Wardrobe Styling, Food Styling, Creative Direction and Prop Styling. I do Makeup and Hair so I'm looking to be rep'd.

This is sucking more and more. It seems that the slimey accountant at the agency harrassed my clients aggressively for invoices that were not yet due. Unfortunately the clients paid because of the constant barrage of calls. Even my most recent billings have been paid to the agency so I'll never see that money. So far I've salvaged a whopping $400.00 and the rest is gone.
