Anyone here ever had there Email Hacked into

I have a gmail (google) email account that some hacker has taken over. Anybody had this happen to them?

I filled out gmails form and they sent me an email saying they dont belive I am the original owner of that email. WTF!!

I dont know what to do now. Stinks because that is the email I used for most of all my personal/bills ect. I cant get into it change my password or anything. Very frustrating.

I seem to remember some news that this was happening with gmail lately. I have one but never use it. I would certainly argue it with them, but that would be me wouldn't it You must have some rights!

Do you access your gmail account from more than one computer?

I seem to remember that a few months ago, google introduced some kind of new security measure that would issue out a warning if you logged on to your Gmail in, for example, your work PC, and then came home and did the same, and ask you re-verify your account. Similar to what Facebook has now.

This led some people to believe they were hacked, when in fact it was just a security measure.

Should avoid public wifi hotspots if you dont want to get your accounts hacked. Wifi security is shite.

Had this happen to me back in July. Completed Gmail's form and prompted me to change me password immediately.

I just got what is obviously spam from a friend's email and it's hotmail. I wonder if it's anything to do with people giving access on facebook to their address books??

after many attmepts i finally was able to convince gmail that i was the owner of the email and then let me reset my passowrd.

It got hacked by someone in China, go figure.

lmao, it's nothing to do with Facebook, it's probably some spyware that registers key strokes, it happens a lot to people, all you have to do is change your password

its not that easy with gmail. gmail wont let u change your password without naming ur old password (which the password was changed by the hacker)

then they make u fill outa questionaire...
and if you dont accurantly answer there questions like

What Date and Year did you sign up for this account.....who the hell actually remembers that

name all subfolders that were in your account.....Hugh?? i never created or even used any subfolders to organize my emails.

then they send u an email saying we dont beleive this is your account.

the only way i was able to get it was mysteriously my email turned on and i actually was able to write these folders down and fill out the questionaire again.

Yeah but also sad because if this shit wouldn't work with some folks, mails like this wouldn't exist. I only wonder...they must be rich already but still can't afford people who can actually write proper English or at least use a better translator lol. Should take care of an even better quota.
