Here is a new experimental/downtempo mix I threw together yesterday. I really dig the analog/retro sounds certain labels are putting out at the moment. All the music I selected for this mix brings me back to my childhood in some way. I hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you also. Analog imperfection has long been a fascination of mine also, the modulated, undulating warmth of the synths just can't be recreated digitally...this does have a nostalgic quality about it, not completely dissimilar from much of Boards of Canada's music.

Merry Christmas to you also. Analog imperfection has long been a fascination of mine also, the modulated, undulating warmth of the synths just can't be recreated digitally...this does have a nostalgic quality about it, not completely dissimilar from much of Boards of Canada's music.

Oh yeah, BoC has always been a favorite of mine. I think analog synths remind me of a lot of the pop music and movie soundtracks I heard as a kid in the 80s. In the past few years I've been digging deeper to find more synth music artists and labels and sometimes it seems like I've barely scratched the surface.
