I wish you good luck, Xeb. But watch out, some things might look uglier after the surgery when you see things more clearly all the time. Curse or gift, this is the question.

Good luck! My dad just had both his eye done and he said it didn't hurt, and he's the biggest baby. So, I'm sure you'll be okay. Take care Nigel.

                    Like yourself.

No really good luck. I know a lot of people who have had it and it's no biggie. They give you the worst scenario. Don't be nervous.

theres 2 kinds of surgery - 1 involves making a cut in the outler layer of the eye and folding that aside to get at the bit they need to laser. thats painless. the other (the one i'm having) involves softening the outer layer with alcohol and pushing it aside. much more pain and longer recovery, but risks of complications are much less and success rates higher. its not as common - most people have the other one.

thanks all if i'm not posting next week its cos i can't see the monitor!

my girlfriend had it done a few months ago. she said it hurt a little.
her eyes were really dry for like 2 months afterwards. constantly using eye drops.
she's all good now though, and has no vision problems.
                              good luck with it duder.
