Re:: i haven't smoked any weed in one month....

[quote="Musical Journey"]Well i smoked it solid for 5 years up untill May 2000 but decided i`d had enough. Every day i`d come home from work and whilst still dressed in my suit sit down, build a biffta and smoke my self daft. I`d still be sat there 2 and 3 hours later, i never got anything done. Apart frombeing a lazy git when charged it was costing me a bloody fortune, i`d smoke at least 4 or 5 joints a night every night and more at the weekend.quote]

see i've always tried not to smoke during the week.. i lapse from time to time but generally just cane it on the weekends. the english way of smoking seems to be more smoking less but more often, wheras my kiwi upbringing leads me to get completly wankered then enjoy being sober till the next weekend. that deals with the tolerance issue somewhat too.. if you're smoking every day then surely pretty soon it ain't even touching the sides

^^^^ yeah give it at least 6 weeks total and I'm sure you'll notice a change. I quit when I was younger and after the 6 weeks passed I actually had a teacher of mine tell me that I was doing much better in class and she had no idea I was even messing with the stuff). I've gotten back into it lately after popping a pill on the weekend, but I had the girlfriend give it to her friends so as not to temp me on the weekends.

I will have to agree with Civic though. It affects people very differently. It just affects me negatively. I've known some very intelligent people who smoked daily and didn't lose any IQ points but I've also seen my cousin get really dumb on the stuff.

this is true. I remember my new years resolution was to quit smoking...I lasted about 7months, and i didnt miss it at all. I recently started smokin again, and it felt great again (before i quit it was losing the goodness, and bringing paranoia) and had that "home again" feeling.

I am also glad to say that today is my fifth day sober from drinking, and i feel great. Im happier, more energy, and motivation to actually get shit done. I guess im an alcoholic. I would drink about 4 days out of the week, and go on two week binges every now and then. Though I have been goin through mild withdrawal symptoms, such as headaches, nausia, twitching here and there mostly when im trying to sleep. I am also a little depressed, and nervous. I know more booze would take it all away, but it will still be there when i come back to reallity.....Anywho..i just felt like venting a little, lol.

just be on yourself, and keep yourself busy. i went insane after my departure into the real world. but i have found that things i loved in that world are the same in this. plus, nothing beats a natural high. a few days ago i was on the highway listening to an old pole folder set, and this track came on ... fucking bliss. it was so rad. best high i have had in a long.

Re:: i haven't smoked any weed in one month....

Its nice to somoke once in a while not being an addict.

There are few things in my life I will never forget if its about smoking pot.

                      1. Laugh, laugh...laugh at anybody who was more stoned than me (that's a bad one, but that was the rule)
                      2. Listening to music...sets especially...with Winamp Vizualiation Studio!! Unbelievable!! Oh and Airdrawndagger was the best to listenar...
                      3. Watching Scream 3 and laughin my ass off of this retarded murderer in mask who never got anyone by the firt attempt.
                      4. Enjoy eating all kind of stuff....

All those were very valuable expieriences for me...I wouldnt find any of those things so amaizng as it was after smoking pot....oh but music maybe.

This thing just enhance or expand your senses...

right now i didnt smoke for a few months and i dont miss it at all....but when really good occasion to do that appears I will smoke for sure....it has to be some reason..good reason...not just nothing better to do...

I wanna try rollercoaster stoned really bad
Its like she's cast a spell....I wish I knew how to break it!!

I go long periods of time between smoking and sobriety. Right now, I am smoking too much and ciggarettes EHH I need to quit those like asap, btw I agree sobriety is the best. One period of time 3 Summers ago I used to run 3 miles in the morning when the sun came up. This one particular day I was listening to my minidisc player and I had wavvy gravy on it, then the sun started rising and I felt the endorphins in my legs and body. I felt a warm feeling in my head, it was an incredible natural high.

you are right.. it certainly isnt physically addicting. anyone who stops can tell you that.

but mental addiction is a different beast all together. pot is one of the most mentally addicting things there is. because.. well.. it feels good. and its fun... the types of withdrawls you get are related to "man, it would be fun to get high right now" or "this concert would be cool with some weed" or whatever... and while it isnt necessarily physically paining, it still sucks.

try not having sex for a while. (not having sex? try with masturbation... and shutup, yes you do it).

you will be able to do it just fine. but it will suck.

Re:: i haven't smoked any weed in one month....

I would love to be able to get the enjoyment I used to get from a spliff all those years back. I was a heavy user for quite a few years, and I have to tell you I loved it. Then it happened, I don't know when or why, but I started getting paranoia from it, and it got worse and worse - this must have gone on for months and months. I knew that if I had carried on I'd end up in a nut house. The key is, as soon as your body starts showing you the signs, pack it in. It's not worth risking your mental health for. Strange though, I'm fine with everything else: pills, coke and even acid?

Now, after not smoking a joint for over a year, I have to say that I am a lot sharper, my memory is improving leaps and bounds and I'm not a paranoid hermit. It took about 6-8 months to get my head straight though.

Fucking hell, I'd love to be able to smoke like I did back then. Good times. Oh well, there's always beer
