I never could grasp the concept of $3500 for a watch

Re: So I bought a watch.....

its all relative. example, if you or your girl are driving a car that costs less than that watch your priorities are outta whack. i just hope your not still living in your parents basement acting like a pimp with a 3 grand watch.
once upon a time, machines were mice, and men were lions. now that its the opposite, it's twice upon a time

Finally an intelligent post in this thread. You get the best value for your money in Poland these days btw

It's not really any of my business geoff, but do you sit up and fetch too? Yeap, a bit harsh I know, but really: if my girl would get an attitude like that, I would fistfuck her silly wearing that watch. After she ironed my shirts that is. That would be just as respectful.

Why would you get her a watch because you got one for yourself? Don't step in the "equality boobytrap" man, you'll be watching your back every time you do something for yourself. Trust me, I've been in such a relationship for five years: The girl I was with gave me shit every time I bought something for myself because she thought that was selfish. In the end I stopped living and allowed her to live me if you know what I'm saying.

Simple rule: even though you have a life together, you both still have a life of your own too. It's just a matter of mutual respect and trust.

                            My 2 cents tho...

So I started to check them out and eventually ended up buying a "pre-owned" one from a local jeweler. I sorta/kinda hid that fact from the future wife but she saw it as I came back from coaching (not playing) hockey last night a wee bit intoxicated. Now she wants one.... Probably should have had Sean do my taxes cause I need to come up with some extra cash now.... So should I

                                a. keep mine and ignore her.
                                b. sell mine and ignore her
                                c. buy her one.

                                The watch in question:
                                1) NICE watch!

                                2)WHY would she get mad?
Are you not allowed to have nice things?
You should be able to buy yourself whatever the hell you want and she should not have any issues. As long as you're paying for your fair share of the bills what you do with your money is your business. I've been married for 6 years and known my wife for 9 an d I can tell you that I would have not been with her if she ever game me shit for what I buy.

Nothing against you missus, I'm just saying that I don't like it when people feel thay have the right to tell you what you can, and can't own. I'm saving up to buy a Daytona and my wife doesn't have a problem with it. I currently own this Rolex:
